of the U of A College of
Medicine, Interim
Chancellor of the U of

University faculty, on
National Health
Insurance, a topic now
seriously being
discussed.

debate, which is part of
the Off-the-Record
series of seven debates
sponsored by Project
Vote Smart and the
University of Arizona. The
debate will take
place at the Arizona
Inn, 2200 E. Elm.

one-hour debates
beginning promptly at

Debate rules and
format:
Each host will introduce
their guest participants
and state the
proposition. Then the
proponent will be given
15 minutes to make their
argument, the opponent
will then be given 15
minutes. This will be
followed by 5-minute
rebuttals from each
participant, audience
questions and finally an
audience vote where each
person drops a white or
black marble into a
glass vase.
